The Southern Hemisphere wine market grew as much as 50% in the US last year. Each of Southern hemisphere country offers a different combination of climate, terroir, viticulture and varietals. The varying environments allow for the unique characteristics of these wines. In this class, we will taste and discuss wines from Argentina (the largest producer of wines in the Southern hemisphere), Australia (with over 3000 independent grape growers & 900 wineries), Chile (with the US &the UK being the largest importers of Chilean wine) & South Africa (90% production is white wine). Hors d'oevres to accompany the wine tasting.

Singles at Heart Throb Night Club

After Happy Hour at Gibby's in Aurora, we can all meet at The Heart Throb in Denver (only down the road a bit) for some dancing to 70's Rock & Roll and Disco Music.
They have a deck outside and a nice dance floor inside with memorabilia from the 1970's everywhere. Their regular clietele doesn't show up until about 10pm, so we can basically have the place to ourselves. There is a $5 cover charge beginning at 9pm, so let's meet there by 8pm. Generally, drinks are not very expensive there.
If we like The Heart Throb, we can go back every 2nd and 4th Fridays in October.
